Hasidic Mysticism for Queers

Rockstar teacher Ezra (Liz) Furman comes to Shel Maala for the first time to teach about the connection between queerness and the Hasidic master, the Sfat Emet. The Sfat Emet’s mysticism centers around how every finite thing contains an essence or “inner nekudah” that is infinite. With some readings from his Torah commentary, related thinkers and other disciplines, we’ll dive into how Hasidic mysticism and how it can teach us about our queer selves.
