id: a square graphic: at the top is a rectangular red to blue gradient with the text "the invitation of doikayt: mystical anarchism and the Jewish left, June 23 8 PM ET | 5 PM PT" followed by the shel maala logo. Below that is a background of Hebrew text. Over laid on the background from top to bottom are: a rounded rectangular box with a blue background and the text "bit.ly/torah-for-palestine"; a circular image of a Jewish person peering out at the camera from behind leaves; the text "taught by Andy Izenson, legal advocate and queer educator"; the Torah for Palestine logo and the text "part of our Torah for Palestine study series"; and a graphic consisting of a silver chalice, three pomegranates, and a flower.

The Invitation of Doikayt

We are so excited to have Andy Izenson join us for a special Torah for Palestine program on mystical anarchism and the Jewish Left. In this session, we'll explore the possibilities of doikayt/"here-ness", a movement that came into being at the same time as, and in conversation with, the nascent zionist political project in the late 1800s. Please join us to explore the history, tradition, and possibility of a way of being Jewish that does not accept the violence that we are being asked to tolerate in the name of our own safety
